About

Feisar is a display typeface that happily marries the aesthetics of 1970s science fiction, 1980s video gaming and 1990s techno culture.

The family originally started as a 12 pixel bitmap font for a user-interface, which this outline version is based on. Drawing the current family, many details have been reinterpreted to amend the limitations of the pixel grid. Feisar is expressive and recognizable but still surprisingly readable since the underlying bitmap design was tailored for a small size.
