Aniek is an informal, friendly script inspired by the handwriting of a former girlfriend. The monolinear strokes and rounded terminals echo the characteristics of writing with a soft felt-tip pen. While most other script typefaces slant to the right, Aniek has a slight slant to the left which gives it its unique casual charm.
Aniek captures the spontaneity of handwriting but doesn’t try to imitate the irregularity and imperfection of the human hand. The characters, for example, are not connected, proportions were harmonised and the rhythm and spacing made more even. This makes Aniek suitable for even longer paragraphs of text and small sizes.
Aniek is available in seven weights, each with Latin-Extended characters-set covering the majority of European languages.
