Treating your privacy with respect is important to Bold Monday (“we”, “us” and/or “our”), and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. We do not collect your personal information, such as names or e-mail addresses, unless you knowingly provide this information to us while visiting our website. By using our website, or registering with us, you are confirming that you have read, understand, and agree to this Privacy policy. WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO YOU COLLECT?


You can visit our website without registering or submitting any personal information. If you decide to register for an account, place an order, or subscribe to our mailing list, you will provide us with personal information that is linked to you specifically. This can include personal information (name, e-mail address, password, billing address, telephone number) and professional information (company name, VAT number). Access to your account information requires a password. You are responsible for keeping this password confidential. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer. We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active.

 


IN WHAT WAY DO YOU USE PROVIDED PERSONAL INFORMATION?


• To enable you to access and use our website, including logging into your account and downloading fonts and invoices and change your personal information or upgrade your licenses.
• To process and complete transactions, and send you related information, including order confirmations and invoices. We may also contact you if we have questions about your account or any of your orders.
• To provide customer service and support, including responding to your comments, questions and requests, and sending you technical notices, updates and support messages.
• To ship physical products you ordered.
• To send you our latest printed specimen, which we do only once after your order. 

 


DOES BOLD MONDAY SHARE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES?


We will not share your personal information with third parties for the purpose of marketing their products, but we share your personal information with companies that provide us with support services in conducting our business, operating the website. This includes Stripe, Paypal, and Mailchimp. We share your personal information only if these companies require such information to perform their functions. We do not authorize these companies to use your personal information for any other purpose. We will share your personal information with the appropriate authorities if we believe in good faith that doing so is required by law or court order, to protect our rights or property, or to protect the safety of our users or the public. We also share your personal information with our accountant, for VAT and TAX purposes.

 


DO YOU STORE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION IN A SECURE WAY?


We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software. SSL is a standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a server and a client – typically a web server (website) and a browser. SSL allows sensitive information such as credit card numbers, and login credentials to be transmitted securely. This information in not accessable through the public internet. The server we use is situated in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). On this server, order information and personal information is backed up daily, weekly and monthly (so four copies in total: live and three backups) and will be kept infinitely for account, administration, VAT and TAX purposes.

 


HOW CAN I UPDATE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?


You have the right to access and update your personal information at any time by logging into your account on our website. You may also submit any changes to your personally identifiable information and preferences by contacting us in one of the ways as mentioned on this page.

If you like to cancel your Bold Monday account, you can do that at any time by contacting us in one of the ways as mentioned on this page.
We will then delete all information we hold in connection with your account which is no longer necessary to keep. Some information we have to hold for a maximum of 7 years because of VAT or TAX reasons, or to provide necessary licensing information to the respective font copyright holder.

 


DO YOU COLLECT COMPUTER INFORMATION?


We automatically collect certain non-personal computer or device-related information from visitors to our website, including the operating system (for example Mac OS, iOS, Windows, Android), the visitor’s IP address, and the web browser (for example Safari, Firefox, Chrome). This information will be stored on our server for a maximum of three months and will be used for debugging purposes only.

 


DOES YOUR WEBSITE STORE COOKIES ON MY COMPUTER?


A cookie is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user’s computer by the user’s web browser while the user is browsing. Our website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our website. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site. IN WHICH WAYS DO YOU PROCESS PAYMENTS?


If you place an order on our website – after registering – you can choose to process the financial transaction by credit card or using Paypal.

Credit card
If you place an order on our website, and choose to pay by credit card, the transaction is processed by Stripe, our third-party payment vendor. To secure your information, Stripe uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We don’t see or store your credit card information at any point on our server, the information is directly transmitted to Stripe. Stripe protects the confidentiality of all transaction information and every customer's details. When confirming your order, we only show the expiry date of your credit card and the last four digits of your credit card number. Of course, Stripe transmits the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing.

Paypal
If you place an order on our website, and choose to checkout using Paypal, you will be redirected to the secure Paypal website to process the payment.

After checkout, your digital products will be added to your account. Physical products will be send by regular mail as soon as possible, mostly the same day. Your invoice will be added to your account and e-mailed to you.

 


E-MAIL NEWSLETTER


You can subscribe to our e-mail newsletters, which we use to communicate new typefaces or products, updates or other foundry related information. We will not feature third party advertisements of any kind in our e-mail newletters, and will not send marketing communications on behalf of third parties. To send these e-mail newsletters we use Mailchimp. If you do not wish to receive these email announcements anymore, please click the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any of these emails. You can also e-mail us, using the e-mail account you used to sign up for the newsletter with ‘Unsubscribe newsletter’ in the subject line of the e-mail, we will then remove your e-mail address from the list.

DROPBOX


At Bold Monday we use Dropbox in our workflow and to communicate with our accountant. We store a copy of your invoice to Dropbox for a maximum of one year for administration, VAT and TAX purposes.

We use FaceBook, Twitter and Instagram to communicate new products, upgrades, work in progress and foundry related stuff. We don’t gather information from followers on these platforms.

Bold Monday may modify this Privacy policy from time to time, you can review the current version of the Privacy policy by clicking on the Website’s “Privacy policy” link, available at the support section of our website. All modifications are effective immediately when we post them and will be prospective only, not retroactive. You agree that your use of the Website after a modification will be treated as acceptance of the modified Privacy policy.
