Dico is a new, varied series of typefaces by Pieter van Rosmalen encompassing eight sub-families from Sans to Slab to Mono, Code, Typewriter Sans and Slab and the especially charming Mono Script. It expands on a design previously called Emma (Sans) that Pieter started in 2004 while working for Teldesign – back then with more weights but significantly smaller character-set. The name Dico is Latin for “I say, I tell, I give a speech” and “expertus dico” when we say: go check it out, it is really fun to typeset and read!
