Bilo, our unusual normal grotesque, is now available for the Thai script. It has been designed by Promphan ‘Boom’ Suksumek, with input by its original designer, Pieter van Rosmalen, who carefully translated Bilo’s occasional curious detail and unique flavour into loopless Thai letterforms. Bilo Thai strives to retain the playful yet versatile essence of Bilo. It incorporates circular elements into some Thai letters, complementing the native characteristics of the Thai script. The new family is available in the same nine weights (however, without italics).
