The new corporate typeface for German car manufacturer Audi was designed by Bold Monday after an international competition and introduced in 2009 — the year in which Audi celebrated its 100th anniversary.
Audi Type is used exclusively for all of Audi’s design and communication material, ranging from the Audi logo and associated logotypes, to navigation systems, advertising, company brochures, and annual reports. The family contains over 5,300 glyphs in eight styles and supports the extended Latin, extended Cyrillic, and Greek character-set.
Audi Type represents self-confidence, dynamism and style combined with a particular attention to detail.
Audi Type has received an iF Communication Design Award in 2011.
